This temple dedicated to Bhagwan Lakshmi Narayan was constructed at reading road and this road was later named as Mandir Marg. Mohan Das Karam Chand Gandhi used to stay here and worship. Hindu Maha Sabha Bhawan is located nearby. One of the best schools of Delhi, long long ago called MB School & now N.P. Boys Senior Secondary, Mandir Marg, New Delhi is also located on this road. Balmiki Basti is adjacent to it. Modi’s Svachchhta Abhiyan-cleanliness drive, found the police station of this place to begin with.

N.P.BOYS SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL, MANDIR MARG, NEW DELHI-110001 It used to be one of the best schools of Delhi at one point of time. At one occasion a number of secretaries in the Government of India, were its products. One of the Presidents of India’s chief surgeon was from this school. Rajesh Pilot-a pilot and Minister in Central Government was from this school. The school is facing neglect and official apathy and one after another incompetent & ineligible person are promoted as principals to this school. The school had wonderful students and one them found a place in NASA as well due to his own effort. The stuff was generally good and desirous of learning; but alas, no one really bothered about the poor children! Those who cared were harassed and transferred and their promotions were blocked by hook or crook. |
